He will share tricks for attracting new clients and keeping in touch with existing clients.“In this economy, success is defined by survival. It is not really about success in the way we may have defined it even two years ago. We will explore how to make it through and position yourself so when the economy does start to turn around, you are ready to take advantage of opportunities.”Cutler maintains that designers should be extremely active in marketing and business development now. “Don’t drop out and make plans to come back,” he cautions. “Now is when to throw yourself at building the machine to take you into the next boom period. Now is the time to lay the groundwork and plant those seeds that are going to sprout eventually. We’ll cover how you position yourself so when there are people with money to spend, they come to you. It requires a real plan of attack.”First Friday at Las Vegas Design Center is a monthly event featuring educational opportunities, showroom specials, hospitality and other exclusive offerings for the trade. |
